RED ARROWS DISPLAY TEAM BANNED FROM 2012 OLYMPICS

The world famous Red Arrows have been banned from appearing at the 2012 London Olympics because they are deemed to be too "British". This is political correctness gone mad. What is wrong with being proud of Britain and why are we the only country in the world afraid to show our national pride?

London 2012 Games organisers say that the Red Arrows military background may offend other countries taking part in the Games. This is nonsense as most countries are proud to display their military hardware - India shows off her entire military strength in the Republican Day Parade. The Red Arrows have performed at over 4000 events worldwide. However the Department of Culture, Media and Sport has decided that the Red Arrows are too militaristically British!!

Red Arrows pilots are outraged. In 2005 they performed a short fly past when the winning bid was announced, but the 2012 Games flypast would have been spectacular. Red Arrows are also excellent ambassadors for British overseas trade as they display their British-built Hawk aircraft all over the world.

If like me you disagree with this decision, please sign Mark Standley's Petition on the No. 10 Downing Street website which reads "We the undersigned petition the Prime Minister to allow the Red Arrows to fly at the 2012 Olympics"
http://petitions.pm.gov.uk/RedArrows2012/?ref=redArrows2012
500,000 people have signed this petition. Let's make it one million.

Footnote - Morris Steinbeck is upset at being called a "Labour Stooge" by Dylan Carrol, although he blamed Mary Klein who only supported my campaign to preserve Bedford's green fields.

Morris says he is a UKIP member - I hope he did not vote for Tom Wise the disgraced Bedfordshire UKIP MEP and former policeman who failed to fulfil UKIP's pledge to bring Britain out of the EU and instead allegedly flouted EC rules on expenses.

Nice story - even if it has taken you a year to catch up with it and it is inaccurate, as these stories prove.

The Red Arrows link does not work!

I was unable to access these articles but I was given the information by a reliable source.
Anyway it does not hurt the PM to know the strength of feeling of his people about the Red Arrows.

Sorry about the line - just try going on the Govt website - Number10.gov.uk then Communications and find the Petition.

Old story!

Do you have any real news?

What about all my posts on the Paralympic Games? You will have to scour the papers to read this information.

They are far too busy writing about footballers and Andy Murray, who lost to ROger Federer in the US Open Tennis Finals.

The Red Arrows Petition is still live on the No.10 gov.uk Website
