BRITISH ROWER MAKES PARALYMPIC HISTORY

MORE GOLD MEDALS FOR BRAVE PARALYMPIANS

Wheelchair bound Helene Raynsford was the heroine of the day, winning the first ever Paralympics Rowing Women's Single Sculls and the photographs above show her joy in achieving an historic victory.

Lee Pearson has won 3 Equestrian gold medals and the British Equestrian Team have won a total of 10 medals, 5 gold and 5 silver in these Games. In all Team GB has won an outstanding total of 57 medals, including 27 gold, and have been in 2nd Place throughout the Games apart from a brief spell in 1st place ahead of China.

RED ARROWS - I must apologise for an error in the website given for the Red Arrows Petition. The right one is http://petitions.pm.gov.uk/RedArrows 2012. If you cannot access the site, try Number10.gov.uk/Red Arrows2012 or just key in Number10.gov.uk, then click on Communicate.

A reader says the Red Arrows story is old and inaccurate but I received the information from a good source. Even if not 100% accurate, it will be good for Gordon Brown to receive a petition showing the strength of feeling of his people about the Red Arrows and their British Patriotism. Have another look at the photo above and see British pride written all over Helene's face.
